Nikki, the one and only Sikh Indian woman who energizes the stage and intrigues her audience by reflecting on her trials and tribulations of being born in India but raised all her life in America. Nikki performs at Gotham, Carolines on Broadway, Manhattan TV cable network, New York Comedy Club, Pianos, Laugh Lounge, Dillons, Standup NY and is featured at Don't Tell Mama'a Poole Party and Indian Comedy Fest. Nikki has also been on the Emmy award winning Sunday morning show with Jane Henson aired on NBC. She was featured on MTVdesi and has been featured on AmericanDesi TV's comedy hour. Nikki has also received press from AsianWeek. She also does radio segments for ManCow radio in Chicago and was featured WOR AM radio, Radiophive radio in California, and was a guest on Nitelife radio, 89.3 FM. Nikki has also been an opening act for headliner Russell Peters at Rutger's University. She is often an opening act for headliner, Aladdin, who is the one only South Asian, comedian, writer, and actor known for his recent magnificent performance at the Public Theatre. Nikki also does Improv at Don't Tell Mama's and her recent show was called "Improvination" which was a real success. A review of the show by Stu Hamstra of Cabaret Hotline states, "The show was unbelievable - a demonstration of improv techniques that included a host of talented local comics. If it returns (and it should) be sure to catch it (if you can get a seat - I was on the waiting list because I placed my reservation at the last minute)". Nikki was also one of the guest speakers on a panel discussion about political expression through the Arts at Queens College.
On her free time, Nikki freelances for Rave Magazine and loves to cook!
