BIOGRAPHY

After over 20 years as a talk radio host, nationally syndicated to almost every U.S. city including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Dallas, Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, New Orleans and more, and as a featured guest on network TV shows like ABC-TV's INTO THE NIGHT and FOX-TV's PERSONALITIES in the 1990's and more recently on THE LEEZA GIBBONS SHOW and CNN's TALKBACK LIVE, I decided it was time for a change. Thanksgiving week 2003, I walked into New York Comedy Club for the Monday open mic. It was better than I had imagined. I could hear myself think and laugh again. It was like radio without the station. Just the show. I started hosting pro shows at Sal's Comedy Hole in Tribeca and in Greenwich Village and enjoyed working with headliners like Dean Edwards from Saturday Night Live, Mark Theobald from Chapelle's Show, Al Lubell from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman and Rick Shapiro from HBO's Lucky Louie. After hosting and doing spots I started developing a feature set by producing "MAD BOY COMEDY RANT" shows at The Village Ma on MacDougal Street and The Village Lantern on Bleecker Street, and by performing at my weekly "PERFORMANCE ANXIETY" open mics. Recently I have been working with Todd Lynn, Patty Rosborough, Rick Crom and Ed Ayres on the Mid Life Meltdown Comedy Tour that premiered at The Broadway Comedy Club and is playing the Wings Theatre in Greenwich Village. FOR MEDIA RELEASE: PERSONAL BIO No one from his New York City neighborhood is surprised to see Edward Tyll on stage making people laugh as a stand up comic. Catholic-schooled and street-raised, Tyll is the only child of Italian-Polish-American parents. As a kid, his life revolved around stickball and rock and roll. He played on sports teams and in garage bands. No matter where he was or what was going on, Tyll was cutting up, and never shutting up. After receiving a B.S. in Sociology, he went on to Law School. An accomplished debater and a passionate speaker, Tyll realized he was more performer than attorney. He has appeared on network TV and hosted a syndicated radio show heard in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans, Seattle and many other major cities. He's been the voice of many national advertisers including Ford and Ask Jeeves.com. Tyll's sense of humor and his hyperkinetic comedic delivery come to him naturally. He's a story teller, a social critic, and he moves as fast as the pop culture he loves, on and off stage. Edward Tyll now lives in New York City and appears regularly at The Village Ma in Greenwich Village. hence -->
