When you start talking to yourself at the age of ten, you got to know trouble is going to follow you from there on out. Dave Robison's solution was to find a dummy to talk back to him. He began practicing as a ventriloquist at 10. By the time he was 16 he was pretty popular in his small Mississippi town, entertaining at birthday parties, banquets, and civic functions. Local press coverage was the norm for Dave as a teenager, and he often thought of taking his local celebrity-hood to the next step by going "on the road".

Dreams of a stand up comedy career were put on hold with an early marriage, early kids, and early debt, along with trading a multitude of jobs with periods of unemployment. Dave finally settled in to becoming an industrial video producer and Public Relations professional.

Then in 1999, Dave discovered the Internet, it was like the modem cord was injecting sweet bliss into his veins. He couldn't have been more excited if it had been an Amway meeting. Dave told six people, then they told six people. You know how it goes.

Now, from Mobile, Alabama comes Dave Robison, a confessed Internet-aholic, middle-aged-married-man, who's generally a nice guy--he just has one or two issues.

If you're lucky and Dave gets nervous while on stage, he's likely to bring out his ventriloquist side-kick of over 20 years, Skyler Leglantier. Skyler is an animated piece of pine and has an attitude made for spontaneous combustion. Remember, you have to be lucky for that to happen; they really don't get along anymore. It's a long story and we told you; Dave has a few issues.

Stand-Up Comedy by Dave Robison is available for corporate events, college campuses, and nightclubs.
