Becky Donohue is a New York native with a good attitude. She is the creator and co-founder of www.girlcomic.net the only webzine in cyberspace both written and run by young, female, stand-up comedians.
Beckys six-year comedy career has lead to performances in New York Citys hottest venues. Her solo show, "Stupid American", a half hour play about Beckys mixed heritage (Irish & Colombian), has played to sold-out crowds at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, PSNBC at Here Arts, and will run this January as part of the Ha! Festival.
Becky Donohues comedy centers around her unique perspective on life, family, and the socio-political arena. Dont worry, this is not a civics class. Beckys act is laced with a Rodney King, Why cant we all just get along? sentiment delivered in a rock n roll style. By pointing out the idiotic extremism that can lead to conflict, Becky will leave you both fired up and wanting to hug your neighbor all at once.
Becky has appeared on Comedy Centrals "Premium Blend", "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn", the Oxygen Network, Lifetimes Real People documentary series, and on Canadian televisions, "Shes So Funny."
