Brad Schecter was born Bradford Evan Schecter on January 5, 1978 in Inglewood, CA. Growing up, Brad always knew he wanted to be a performer. He started acting in community theatre and taking piano lessons at the ripe old age of 6, which continued all through high school and college. Brad grew up in the south bay and attended Torrance High School, which is known for shows such as "Beverly Hills, 90210," and "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." He can be seen playing timpani in the concert band on the high school graduation episode of "90210." Just look for the guy with the Metallica t-shirt, flannel, and long hair. He finally graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2001 with a B.A. in theatre. He found some success in acting becoming a recurring character on both "General Hospital" and "Port Charles." He has also acted in over 20 student films and has worked in commercials, print, stage, independent film, and recently guest starred on an episode of "Untold Stories of the E.R." He also had the opportunity to work with controversial director, Spike Lee on a national K-mart spot starring Martha Stewart. In 2002, he turned to stand-up in hopes of setting himself apart from every other aspiring actor who shows up in L.A. on a weekly basis. His act can best be described as a combo of high energy and characters like Jim Carrey, mixed with the quick wit and social observation reminiscent of George Carlin. To quote Mitch Feingold (Comedy Under Construction),"Schecter is a rising star on the L.A. comedy scene. His style is fresh, intelligent & funny!" Brad performs 3-5 times a week at clubs and other venues all around Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire such as the Improv, the Comedy Store, and various college campuses.
