Viet Huynh (pronounced like "hwin") was born and raised in Goose Creek, SC and began his stand-up comedy career as a graduate of the Comedy 101 Class at the Funny Farm Comedy Club in Roswell, GA. Viet made his "graduation" debut performance, receiving a standing ovation and surprising all his friends. Moving forward, Viet has used that initial positive buzz to quickly become a favorite at many local comedy clubs in the Atlanta area. As co-founder of the Affirmative Action Comedy Showcase, Viet has helped put together several successful showcases of local and national comedians of all different races, sex, and cultures. Viet balances his structural engineering career with a rigorous schedule of multiple performances each week at various comedy clubs. By doing so he has created a new profession by the name of "Comedic Engineering"; the design and delivery of jokes and punchlines. Viet has opened for many big names and has won a few a comedy competitions. Viet was also invited to the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival for the July 2009 Festival. Viet derives a lot of his humor from his life of being Asian and growing up in the South, his dorky hobbies/interests, and his surprising knowledge of hip-hop culture.
